Aim
of Program

The aim is to provide a fully developmental and sequential gymnastic orientated movement program suitable for the infants/primary aged child.

The program is designed to fulfill some of the objectives outlined in the
PE/PD/Health Syllabus.
Each student should develop knowledge and understandings of: |
 |
|
|
- the capabilities of their bodies as they move in space, time and with others
- the role physical activity plays in contributing to healthy lifestyles
- how to develop and improve a range of games and sports skills
- dance as a form of communication and self expression
- safe practices and responsibilities in relation to personal well-being.
Develop skills in:
- communicating effectively with others
- interacting positively with others and the presented environment
- decision-making in the context of developing healthy lifestyles
- problem-solving as an individual and with others
- moving with competence and confidence
- esteem-building for self and in others.
And their values and attitudes should develop:
- a sense of their own worth and dignity as individuals
- a sense of belonging
- a sense of responsibility for personal health
- a willingness to participate in regular physical activity
- a commitment to realising their full potential.
Each student should be able to attain the outcomes listed in the syllabus, for each stage based on the above objectives. |
